The post-World War 2 Marshall Plan was administered from the Hôtel Tallyrand, just off the Place de la Concorde.
This building was built in the 1760s and was owned by various members of the Rothchild family from the mid-1800s until it was rented, and then sold, to the American government just after WW2.
In addition to the Marshall Plan, this building has served various functions for the American Embassy and for the American mission to NATO.
